Reliable operation, even in the harshest of environments

The ACS180 comes complete with a set of robust features that ensure reliable operations in harsh conditions. The drive has been designed to operate in temperatures up to 60 °C and without any form of derating when operating in temperatures up to 50 °C.

The ACS180 also includes a set of embedded ‘overcurrent’, ‘short circuit’, ‘motor-phase loss’ and ‘motor-phase ground’ functions to protect the drive, motor and application, along with dedicated sensors for accurate earth fault protection. The circuit boards are coated as standard to improve against adverse environmental conditions.

Key features include:

  • Coated circuit boards as standard.
  • Minimal airflow through the electronics.
  • Earth fault protection.
  • Design for up to 50 °C without derating.
  • Drives are tested at nominal temperatures with full loads before delivery.
