ABB technology enabled Hobart Aquatic Centre to save an estimated $36,000 in reduced energy costs, and a reduction of 77 tonnes of carbon emissions, using ultra-low harmonic drives. The drives and SynRM motors will also reduce the current electrical draw demand by around 18%.
ABB’s drive and motor package gives AlburyCity Council water plant an energy efficiency upgrade and eliminates residential disturbances being caused by harmonic interference. The upgrade also allows their their water supply system to operate more efficiently and cost effectively.
