Energy efficiency has moved beyond intent.
It’s execution to define advantage.

A new ABB global report, developed in partnership with Sapio Research and based on a survey of 2,700 senior decision‑makers across 15 countries and key industrial sectors, shows that with over 90% already investing - or about to - capital is no longer the constraint to scaling efficiency. Yet while ambition is widespread and activity levels are high across almost every efficiency initiative, results remain uneven. The blockers have shifted from “cost” to data, skills and organizational silos.

The say-do gap is telling: only 37% consistently use total cost of ownership to guide decisions, despite 81% agreeing they should. The message is clear: to close the efficiency execution gap, industrial players need end‑to‑end energy intelligence.
